The Hispanic World in a Multipolar Era

The unity of the Hispanic world and its place in multipolarity

July 24, 2025

In the current geopolitical moment, when the unipolar hegemony of the powers that make up the Western axis is crumbling, the multipolar moment arrives unstoppably, but what role does the Hispanic world play in this?

The unipolar world, triumphant in the Cold War, is the Anglo-German domination of the United States and the European Union (among whose architects was Otto of Habsburg, representative of the Austrian nobility), the Hispanic world has been subordinated to these powers during the late twentieth century and until these years, in which its hegemony has shown signs of exhaustion.

Can the Hispanic world unite as one force?

Latin America and Spain may have had many ties in common, but they are two separate worlds, despite language and a common heritage, Latin America has developed its own identities, its own creative originality, which has made it a world apart.

Our Indo-America is not only Hispanic, it is in itself a multipolarity of identities, ranging from Spanish, Creole (with European descendants of Italian, Slavic, Irish, etc.), mulatto and the various indigenous and mestizo peoples of the continent. Although we are united by language, we have a varied and rich multipolarity of cultures, which cannot be limited to Hispanic alone.

Spain on the other hand has never been interested in Latin American affairs, we can expect little or nothing from them, Spanish politicians are subservient to Anglo Power, that includes the right wing party that claims to defend “Hispanic values” Vox and its boss Abascal.

Some authors have defended the idea of Iberophonia, a concept that unites Hispanidad, influenced by Gustavo Bueno’s Marxism. Iberofonia would be a return to subordination to Spain, denying the legacy of Iturbide, San Martin and Bolivar.

Our Latin America is not an “Iberophony”, we are Mexicans, Chileans, Peruvians, Brazilians and we are our own nations, we are mestizos, creoles, we do not only speak Spanish, but also Nahuatl, Quechua, Portuguese, etc.

Professor Dugin once mentioned Latin America is its own empire, both Mexico and Brazil have this imperial legacy, from Spain and Portugal, to be powers in their own right.

Latin America embodies in itself the idea of multipolarity, with its diversity of peoples, languages and traditions.

Returning to the question: Is a union of the Hispanic world possible?

Spain has to find its own destiny and its own insubordination in Europe, we can make alliances and strengthen ties with them, but we have fought for our own sovereignty, resisting coups d’état, forced disappearances, economic crises and the gentrification of our cities.

It is among the nations of Latin America where we must seek cooperation, solidarity and affirm alliances based on our own needs and similarities, expelling the viruses of liberalism, libertarianism, the alternative right and other creations of the Anglo-Saxon world to destabilize us.

In our continent and our own multipolarity is our unity as Patria Grande, multipolarity is ours and the world to come is our future.
