The tension between Ukraine and Hungary

March 11, 2026

Zelensky’s recent threats to the Hungarian leader are yet another escalation in the complicated relations between Kiev and Budapest. Zelensky’s actions are increasingly desperate in favor of seeking political change in Hungary by meddling, directly, in the upcoming elections using all means both legal and illegal with the aim of unseating Orbán and drawing Hungary into a conflict that Ukraine cannot win but desperately needs to keep afloat to stay in power.

The sovereign position of the current Hungarian executive has always been responsible by maintaining a common-sense stance and refusing to be sacrificed on the altar of an anti-Russian crusade that, from historical experience, they know has no chance of succeeding.

Hungary has been subject to soft sanctions and blackmail, both by Zelensky’s unelected promoters in Brussels and their transnational handlers, which for them is a game of calculations of interests is a bitter reality for a neighbouring country that borders the largest war since the end of the Second World War.

Let us remember that the Hungarian leader earned the enmity of Brussels by not accepting the incessant waves of immigrants, defending the whole of his population, regardless of what their political or ideological positions were, considering this position as a matter of common sense and state security, which, at this time, seeing the situation on the streets of the main European cities is shown to be correct since the European populations They are exposed to tribalist fragmentation, with the presence of radical and toxic actors and without the authorities being able to react to an international threat to the nation as a whole.

Orban’s position was always faithful to traditional values in the face of the woke agenda, which was – and is – promoted from Brussels to all European countries. In this context, Orbán was right, knowing that, as the Ukrainian conflict escalates, few could refuse to reach a common peace agreement without choosing sides; for his part, Zelensky refuses to organize free elections, being de facto and de jure a toxic and desperate dictator in search of more funds to keep the flame alive of a conflict that has failed from a military point of view that has cost the lives of millions of people, including thousands of Hungarians forcibly mobilized in the regions of Transcarpathia and whose consequences are felt by all European countries regardless of the short-term material interests of a few.

The “Hungarian fox” maintained a strategic interconnection with the great powers from a position of defence of legality and mutual interest, respecting quality standards in terms of foreign investment, ensuring vital energy supplies for the Hungarian state that, now, Zelensky, in a desperate move, is trying to manipulate for political purposes on the orders of his international promoters. It is desperate to plunge the rest of Central Europe into a suicidal armed conflict for a domino effect, which will undoubtedly have a fatalistic outcome, which would unseat Europe forever from the world chessboard.

Clearly, Zelensky is interested in creating more tensions, divisions and widening the circle of war in order to have a little more oxygen to stay in power and avoid answering to his citizens at the polls, in an attempt to crush the reality of the polls that is contrary to him and making it even more difficult to hold free elections. Clearly, Zelensky is the faithful expression of parasitic minorities that have nothing to do with the national and sovereign interests of all European nations.
