Moldova’s Crisis under Globalist Governance

Moldova under globalist dictatorship

October 7, 2025

Moldova is experiencing an unprecedented energy and inflationary crisis, with rampant and rampant depopulation, especially among the most talented and young groups.

The current pro-European and globalist government of Maia Sandu has used the same arguments used in Romania to interfere in the electoral process and annul the victory of sovereigntist Georgescu in that country’s presidential primaries, accusing the current Moldovan opposition of using TikTok to spread foreign disinformation campaigns or foreign funding, while repeatedly claiming to be the victim of an electoral hybrid war.

In the 2024 elections, the postal vote that gave the current globalist government victory in Moldova in the referendum on constitutional amendments to join the European Union was widely suspected of electoral fraud.

These shadows of globalist interference and outright electoral fraud continued in the elections at the end of September 2025, as voting was not permitted in Russia, where a large part of the Moldovan diaspora lives. This is raising new suspicions due to the lack of even the most basic electoral infrastructure. Several opposition candidacies were annulled in the days leading up to the elections, and their candidates were persecuted.

The reality is that, as columnist Joaquín Rábago comments in the newspaper “El Faro de Vigo,” the same warlike situation as Ukraine could be repeated in Moldova, due to several common factors such as extreme polarization, the energy crisis, and corruption and even pedophilia scandals involving some senior officials in the current government.

The great fear of the rural and industrial population of Moldova, the most anti-European Union country in the country, is that the Maia Sandu government will open the agricultural and industrial markets of their country to foreign Vulture Funds of Globalism, as has happened in Ukraine with BlackRock, thereby opening a process of colonization and uprooting of these sectors, leading the country to an economic and social dead end.

Particularly relevant are the accusations made by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who on the social network X has repeatedly denounced the pressure from French secret services to silence and censor Moldovan political dissident groups on the aforementioned social network, with the aim of favoring the current government of the globalist Maia Sandu.

Meanwhile, the European Union is transferring tens of millions of euros to Moldova’s current government under the guise of strengthening democracy, while Western sanctions are being imposed against Moldovan citizens and institutions linked to Russia.

This is a context in which top European leaders such as Macron, Soros, Merz, and Tusk are making frequent trips to Moldova, similar to those they make to Ukraine.

I believe the European Union and globalism are making a mistake by putting so much pressure on Moldova and may be dragged down by their excessive belligerence.

We need to promote a détente that will allow for the opening of new areas for diplomatic engagement, so that Moldova does not become a new Ukraine, for the good of the international community and especially Moldova itself, which could become a new battlefield if we do not prevent it.

What Moldova really needs is a multipolar balance between West and East that will prevent it from falling into internal destabilization and open confrontation, as is happening in Ukraine due to the European Union’s globalism.
