Trump’s election to his second term, which was expected to revolutionize U.S. foreign and international policy, revealed in a short time that it is just more of the same. MAGA fans can continue to shout America First, that the state apparatus in Washington D.C. has already taken over the course of events.
Making chaos his trademark, always hiding his real strategic intention (if there is one), Trump is already little more than a figurehead, taking Vance with him in tow. More and more citizens, from the most anonymous to the most famous, are waking up to the fact that they did not vote for Trump for more wars, more soldiers killed, more defense budget, while misery and degradation accumulate in American cities.
Marco Rubio and other representatives of the Deep State have largely taken the reins of government, and Rubio certainly wants to be president in the future, a definitive blow to MAGA, maintaining the power of the State Department, the Department of Justice, the CIA, the Pentagon, the military-industrial complex, the career bureaucrats and pursuing a neocon policy in matters of international relations.
Vance should wake up and realize that to save MAGA he had to step away from the government, represent the rupture and lead the movement of millions who internally contest the maintenance of US hegemony in the world, at the expense of immense sacrifices and disastrous wars, such as those in Iraq and Afghanistan.
On the other hand, Trump is very close and supportive of Christian Zionism, and of involving the US, its people and armed forces in meaningless wars in favor of Israel and its expansionist intentions. Just think of the prominence given by Trump to Witkoff and his own son-in-law, Kushner, two Jews, who play relevant roles in the country’s diplomacy, even bypassing the State Department.
Many dreamed of non-interventionism, but in the White House, there are no statesmen, no ideologues, but cowboys who control missiles, drones, and aircraft carriers. Even Trump’s actions, or intentions, regarding Greenland, the Panama Canal, or Venezuela were seen as strengthening the country’s defensive position by many, believing that the country would refrain from further distant, costly, and disastrous conflicts.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The geography does not change and this means that the US remains, regardless of the administration in Washington, a maritime power, which needs to control maritime trade, canals, and straits. They are New Carthage, a decadent power, which wants to impress the world with a festival of military equipment, but which is defeated by Iraqi RPGs, Afghan improvised bombs and Iranian mosquito boats.
An anti-civilization, empty, materialistic, which does not shy away from threatening to destroy the millennial Persian civilization, which believes it can turn Gaza into a giant holiday resort and whose soldiers have degraded the ruins of the mythical Babylon.
The U.S. is hamburgers, Coca-Cola and liberalism, Hollywood wokes, and cowboys, who instead of guns, send B-52s to carpet bomb and order the launch of cruise missiles. They can’t stand true diversity, ancient, rich and strong civilizations, for them everything has to be leveled, razed to the ground, to build the Yankee New World, civilizations as inexpressive and empty as his.
A giant black hole that destroys everything it attracts. Each new defeat is a blow to US hegemony, which is neither innocuous nor peaceful, it has killed millions. And that’s good news, it’s a multipolar world that is born. The US will lose control of key roads in the Middle East, its bases in the region have been hit hard, acted badly, spent billions, served as Israel’s armed wing, and will continue to lose and decay. New poles will come, and the US can no longer do with the world as it pleases.
